In 1987, Dr. Ritvo earned a MD from University of California at Los Angeles. She received the Business Leader Woman Extraordinaire Award. A distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, she is an honorary member of the American College of Psychiatrists, and a board member of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and the International Society of Sports Psychiatry.
