Now, Cutting Loose Salon & Spa is bringing the glamour and excitement of the latest in hair care technology to Sarasota by proudly adding the Awapuhi Wild Ginger collection to its line of professional hair care products.
Cutting Loose, one of the area's premier hair salons, is known for its design expertise, luxurious atmosphere and community involvement. Owner Coral Pleas is thrilled to offer Awapuhi Wild Ginger to salon clients and expects a high demand for the product line. "Our guests are going to really appreciate this collection and its amazing powers of repair and hydration," she said. "These products are sulfate-free, which make them better for your hair, but still produce a rich creamy lather with a delicious ginger scent. They prevent color fading, reduce hair breakage by 80% and improve shine up to 35%. It's truly a miracle of hair technology."
The Awapuhi Wild Ginger collection includes eight products, including shampoo, conditioner, two keratin treatments, two texturizing products and two finishing treatments. The line has already gained a huge fan base among celebrity stylists, and its Texturing Sea Spray earned a "Best of Beauty Award" from Allure Magazine for Best Wave Enhancer. Perhaps garnering the most attention are the two-step keratin treatments designed to "repair your hair from the inside out." The first is the Keratriplex Treatment, an intensive serum that contains three keratin proteins humanely derived from sheep's wool. Its companion product is Keratin Intensive Treatment , a deep-penetrating conditioner that is applied with 10 minutes of heat and may be used on a weekly basis.
The awapuhi ginger plant is native to Hawaii and its juice has long been used by locals as a moisturizer for skin and hair. In 1983, Paul Mitchell and John Paul DeJoria purchased an awapuhi farm there, which now uses sustainable practices to produce all the awapuhi for the new product line. In a combination of tradition and technology, the awapuhi roots are harvested by hand, dried in a solar dehydration shed and carefully extracted for the lipid-rich nutrients which form the basis of the Awapuhi Wild Ginger product line.
