Barbara S. Sims Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Barbara S. Sims is a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Teaching
SEBRING, FL, February 4, 2010 /Beauty PR News/ -- Barbara S. Sims, Supervisor, Instructor (Retired) for Bay Vista College of Beauty, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in cosmetology instruction.
With 51 years of professional experience, Ms. Sims specializes in massage therapy instruction. She is responsible for assisting students in obtaining their board certifications, helping seniors use their computers and instructing students on cosmetology. She also currently serves as the web master of two alumni sites that aid students living outside of West Virginia to remember their roots. It connects her high school alumni and features past yearbooks.
As her father was a barber, Ms. Sims developed an interest in the cosmetology field as a child. She completed coursework in Business Studies in the Republic of Panama, and she attained her designation as a certified cosmetologist and licensed massage therapist. Bay Vista College of Beauty honored her with an Award for Excellence in Teaching, and she attributes her success to her devotion to helping others.
