Dr. Cameron Bowman has received the recognition of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his spectacular work in the Cosmetics Industry.
VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, March 24, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Dr. Cameron Bowman has received the recognition of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his spectacular work in the Cosmetics Industry. As a Doctor for the Fairview Plastic Surgery Centre he has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication to be among the best.
Fairview Plastic Surgery Centre is a facility which provides a wide variety of cosmetic procedures and skin care services. Among the surgical procedures performed at Fairview are tummy tucks, liposuction, breast augmentation, cosmetic nose surgery, penile procedures, cosmetic ear surgery, facelifts and a number of laser procedures. They also have a selection of skin care procedures available including botox, restylane, TCA Cross and evolence.
During his educational career, Dr. Bowman attended Simon Fraser University for undergraduate studies. From there he moved on to the University of British Columbia where he earned his Medical Degree in 1999. Dr. Bowman continued as a Resident in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. His main area of interest was surgery of the breast and during this time he published an article and produced a DVD about breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
Dr. Bowman completed his surgical residency in 2004 and subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He then accepted a fellowship position in Belgium where he was mentored by Professor Stan Monstrey undertaking sub-specialty training in the unique field of sex reassignment surgery. Dr. Bowman co-authored numerous publications on the subject and is currently the only fellowship-trained surgeon doing this work in Western Canada.
Dr. Bowman then traveled to Michigan to continue his focus on breast surgery, doing further work with Dr. Dennis Hammond, a world leader in surgery of the breast. Here, he sharpened his skills in all aspects of breast surgery which included esthetic and reconstructive procedures.
After completing his training, Dr. Bowman received a clinical appointment within the Division of Plastic Surgery, University of British Columbia where he currently acts as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He participates in the training of medical students and Residents and performs various speaking engagements.
Dr. Bowman is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and World Professional Association for Transgender Health. He enjoys boating and traveling in the time away from his busy schedule.
